Scanner Noise Preparation We have sent home a CD. We would like for you to start off by playing the cd at a low volume while your child is doing a preferred activity. Day by day, slowly increase the volume level until your child can tolerate the noise at a high level. NOTE: Always play the noise while your child is doing a preferred activity.
Earplugs & Headphones Your child does not have to wear both earplugs and headphones. But, he does have to wear at least one.
Earplugs & Headphones Please start desensitizing him in advance. -Work while your child is in a preferred environment or doing a preferred activity. -Let your child choose which one they would prefer. First, introduce the item Then, let your child hold them while you show your child how the item works Finally, use the item properly. HINT: You could even use the item yourself to show your child that it is OK
