Enable each person to have friends to share the most burdensome and liberating moments of their life.
Provide an opportunity for engaged, open hearted conversation in a small (6-10) group setting.
Offer a network of small, caring groups embracing all who wish to be included.
Perform an annual service project of the group’s choosing • in support of the greater good of the community.
Some of the topics discussed this year have been: • Covenant Open the Door • Forgiveness Gift of Conflict • Faces of Love Asking for Help • Community Democracy • The Transforming Power of Resolutions • To Thine Own Self Be True • Going Into the Silence (Deep Listening) • Living a Purposeful Life
Comments by current participants: • “To be part of a conduit that allows others to be able to discuss and/or verbalize feelings is such a wonderful feeling of having done something worthwhile that I personally am left speechless.” • “I had this overwhelming need to share and it is a testament to this group that it is a safe, loving and accepting group to let my emotional barriers down..” • “I want you to know what incredible good luck on my part to have been slotted into this Chalice Circle so that I could have the privilege of meeting so many extraordinary and caring individuals.” • “I look forward to the companionship and open communication that has occurred in our group.” • “I feel that it is one of the most rewarding things that I have done this year.”
Comments by current participants: • I really liked the ability to talk freely without judgment • I liked talking about various ideas • I liked the openness of the group • I enjoyed the sharpening of ideas for myself and the others in the group • It was more open and sharing than I expected • I liked that it was alright not to speak • The new people felt accepted by the others
