From a letter • But my observation is that the people doing the most interesting work often do not have much time to write, and those who spend most energy building up their publication lists don't always have interesting things to say. • I hope APAN plans on taking proactive steps to solicit papers from people doing the frontier research. History • Call for Paper started at APAN Shanghai Meeting in 2002 • The first Network Research Workshop was held along with APAN Busan Meeting in 2003 • Now it’s the third one.
Objectives • To encourage graduate students and young researchers in APAN and related communities to present and publish their research results • To organize Network Research Workshop along with APAN meetings once a year

Remarks • NRW is a successful activity • NRW is unique in academic networking community • We need more joint work in academic, technology, engineering, operation and application areas in this very moment.
New Chair for Next Term • Prof Jun Matsukata will be the next Chair of NRW • Prof. Xing Li will be the co-chair for the first year of next term
