Spark frequency in chemically-permeabilized frog fibres upon changing the cytoplasmic anion from glutamate to sulphate and back to glutamate, in the constant presence of 100 nM Ca2+ and 0.4 mM Mg2+. The spark frequency represented is the frequency/100 µm of fibre in linescan/block of 20 linescans. The final result was obtained from equally weighted averages of the 12 fibres examined.
