  2. *Sri Dikshitar – one of the Trimurthi’s in Carnatic music is a great scholar in Vedas, Shastras, Puranas, Ithihasas, Astrology, Sanskrit & Vyakaranam, Mantram ,Tantram and Music.* During his sojourn in Kashi where he learned Tantra Sastram under the tutelage of Sri Chidananda Guru and developed deep knowledge about Sri Chakram. Sri Muthuswami Dikshitar

  3. His immense knowledge of the Tantra Sastra in Sri Chakram, his deep understanding of Advaita Philosophy are all embodied in these 9 Kriti’s. There are 9 Avaranams in Sri Chakram and each Kriti is assigned to one Avaranam. • Deekshithar is one of the earliest known Sri Vidya and Shakthi Upasaka known to us.

  4. The 9 Kritis- are Deeekshitar’s prayer to the Goddess Kamalamba, the presiding deity of Thiruvaroor Kamalamba temple as well as his deep devotion to Goddess Devi. • You will see references to Lalitha Saharanamam, Soundarya Lahari, Devi mahatmyam, Tantra Deepika, Mantra Mahodhadi and Agama Sastram in these 9 Kriti’s apart from Deekshitar’s musical brilliance.
