Who was St. Patrick ? • He was captured by Irish Pirates, who sold him to some Irishman to work. Patrick had to work for this man, but after some time he escaped to Wales, and became a priest. He decided to bring Christianity to Ireland, where a lot of pagans lived. People belived in supernatural possibilities of Saint Patrick - they thought that he brought the dead back to life and drove all the snakes away from Ireland. He died on the 17 March AD 461. Saint Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland and the most important saint on the Irish Island.
