North Penn Legal Services (NPLS) • Provides civil legal aid to low income clients • Objective is to ensure equal access to justice for all • As a non-profit, NPLS has to prioritize services • For every client accepted, one is turned away due to lack of resources. • 12 local offices serve 20 counties in northeastern PA • My internship is with the Director of Development & Communications, • Alison Norton Located on the 8th floor 65 East Elizabeth Avenue Bethlehem, PA 18018

  3. The Communications Department My responsibilities included: • Press releases • E-mails to legislators • Articles for the Annual Report • Grant Applications for $5,000 to $10,000 each • Fact Sheets for local offices • Materials for the Annual Fair Housing Summit
