What is the PMP? • Power Mobile Pole, also known as PMP, is a revolutionary idea for hospitals that incorporates a cordless mobile pole that will provide unlimited power. • An easy adjustment to an already existing pole
A grated ceiling is needed to give a plethora of area that is conductive PMP Armstrong Ceiling This metal disk that conducts electricity from Armstrong’s ceiling tiles to the pole The pole is hollow for lightweight capabilities and is filled with conductive cables to keep the outside safe and non-conductive This outlet converts D/C to A/C and provides power channels. This is covered to keep cables inside safe The pedal is a sanitary solution that allows the PMP to extend and contract to the ceiling’s requirements
The Problems • In today’s modern hospitals, there are major issues.. • Cords • Unsafe • Less Productive • Sanitation • Germs gather on floor cords • Frequent touching on plugs and outlets • Clutter • Limited battery power • Very little mobility
Solutions • Cords • Attached right to the pole • Floor free • Sanitary • Safer • Anti tangle
Solutions • Sanitation • Less human contact with cords • Prevents germ transfer • Cords will wear down less • Cleaner room for patients FACT:90,000 patients die each year due to infection they acquired during their hospital stay
Solutions • Clutter • All in one • No multiple power sources • Able to rearrange room • Easier doctor accessibility
Solutions • Limited Battery Power • Less reliance on battery • More stable power • No need for recharging • More efficient
Solutions • Mobility • Able to move anywhere with Armstrong’s ceiling • Machines can move with patients • Easy transport from one place to another • i.e. ICU to standard room
Wrap-up • Enhances hospital technology • Uses more reliable and mobile power source • Easy to implement; uses existing poles • Large scale market that is rapidly developing • Helps improve life quality
