  6. Prayer before Worship • Dear Lord, I confess that often I have doubts and fears as I live in this sinful world. • In the storms and winds of life, help me keep my eyes of faith on you. Make me strong and confident through your powerful Word and certain promises. • Hear me, for Jesus’ sake. Amen.

  9. Special Congregational Seminar • Saturday, October 1st • 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. • More information will be coming in September’s Key Chain • All confirmed members are encouraged to attend

  10. S.P.Y. Cookout • Saturday, September 10th • 6:00 p.m. • Church • All youth Freshman through Senior in high school are invited

  11. His Choir(Hearts in Song Youth Choir) • Practices start on September 7th at 6:00 pm in the church basement • All youth 1st – 8th grade are welcome • There are treats each week!

  12. Senior Choir • Rehearsals resume Wednesday, Sept. 7th at 7:00 p.m. in the lower level ministry center

  13. Handbell Choir • More ringers are needed to fill vacancies. Musical experience not necessary. • We will have an organizational meeting on Monday, September 12th at 6 p.m.

  14. Grow in God’s Word • Bible classes resume Sunday, September 18th • “Positively Lutheran” • and • “Connecting Members in Christ”

  15. Sunday JAM News • New year begins Sunday, September 11th between services • Parents are invited to an Opening Devotion led by Pastor Davidson at 9:10 am in church • Register online at www.stpeterschofield.org

  16. More Sunday JAM News • More teachers are always welcome and needed. • Baby food jars are needed for an upcoming craft. • Parents MUST pick up children after JAM in the lower level ministry center
