  1. Net Force and Equilibrium Practice

  2. Practice Problem One: Equilibrium • Assume the Net Force = ZERO. Find the unlabeled Forces: Fn = Ff = Fa = 200 N Fg = 155 N

  3. Practice Problem Tw0: Net Force • Find the Net Force acting on the object: Fa = 4 N Fa = 3 N

  4. Practice Problem Three: Net Force • Find the Net Force acting on the object: Fa = 400 N Fa = 300 N

  5. Practice Problem Four: Net Force • Find the Net Force acting on the object: Fa = 20 N at 50° above the horizontal Fa = 10 N

  6. Practice Problem Five: Forces Acting in the y-Direction • A 5 kg object accelerates towards the earth at a rate of 8 m/s2. Find the Drag Force due to air resistance acting on the object.

  7. Practice Problem Six: Forces Acting in the x-Direction • A kid is biking and he exerts a force of 300 N to his bike as he goes. The boy and his bike have a total mass of 54 kg. The drag force he experiences from air resistance is 5N. Find the acceleration of the boy.

  8. Practice Problem Seven: Forces Acting in the x and y Direction • A girl is pulling a 25 kg suitcase with a force of 100 N at an angle of 30° with the horizontal. Find the acceleration of the suitcase and the Normal Force.
