  2. Profile Information • Thomas Ming Swi Chang was born on 1933 in Shantou, China and immigrated to Montréal, Quebec.

Education, Workplace and Awards • Studied at the McGill University and has received • BSc ( Bachelor of Science Degree) • M.D ( Medicine Degree) • PhD ( Doctorates degree) Works at the McGill University as professor physiology, Medicine & Biomedical Engineer. Thomas has received the award Order of Canada

  4. Chang’s Projects • Chang’s projects was that he built and developed an artificial cell, which he was successful. The artificial cells tasks were to mimic many of the functions of a real cell. Chang also developed artificial blood and a new cellular approach, where he made an artificial kidney, liver, and pancreas.

  5. Chang’s Invention Success • Chang’s inventions has proved useful for temporary measures clearing toxic substances from liver and kidney failure in patient’s blood streams
