HCL BigFix BigFix Extended Patch for RHEL BigFix offerings provide continuous content delivery for Red Hat® Ent erprise Linux® (RHEL) A significant number of the world's servers running in the corporate environments are running older versions of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). For environments outside of normal support, Extended Support is available from Red Hat. BigFix Extended Patch for RHEL offerings allow BigFix users to continue receiving Fixlet content for versions on extended support via RHEL Extended Lifecycle Support (ELS) and RHEL Extended Update Support (EUS). Curated Fixlets will continue to be delivered through the regular BigFix Content Delivery System allowing BigFix users to seamlessly maintain secure RHEL operating environments (not including IBM Z.) These offerings provide continuous streaming content that follows the same testing and publication process BigFix uses to deliver the normal supported RHEL patch fixlets. Prior to release, all content runs through our secure ‘final mile’ and advanced security review. BigFix secure content eliminates the need for customers to manually discover, curate, Highlights • Continuously receive Fixlet Content, curated by the BigFix Development Team, for Red Hat Enterprise Linux. • Maintain the security posture for end-of-life operating systems that are still present in organizations that have not yet migrated to normal supported versions. • Two product offerings can be purchased from HCL: • BigFix Extended Patch for RHEL 5 & 6 for current and available RHEL 5 & 6 ELS extended support releases. • BigFix Extended Patch for RHEL for all current and available RHEL ELS and EUS extended support releases, currently including RHEL 5, 6, 7, and 8. • BigFix Extended Patch offerings require a RHEL ELS or EUS extended support agreement with Red Hat. ESU Prerequisites These product offerings require the following BigFix and Red Hat products: • RHEL Extended Lifecycle Support (ELS) or RHEL Extended Update Support (EUS). • BigFix Patch, BigFix Compliance, or BigFix Lifecycle.
