These diseases may be something innocuous like the cold and cough to the more sinuous like heart attacks and heartburn. Here is a list of diseases that commonly occur during winter and the ways and means to prevent them.
1. Heart Attacks Most of us are unaware that winter is the prime season for heart attacks. A drop in temperature causes constriction in blood vessels making it difficult for the heart to pump blood. People above the age of 30 should avoid strenuous exercises. Instead of going for a walk in chilly mornings, shift it to a time when it is slightly sunny. Also, it is best to stay away from oily, fried food during this season and to consume food in small portions.

5. Sinusitis Congestion in throat, headaches, coughing and running nose are common occurrences in the winter. Avoid this by drinking plenty of water and eating green healthy vegetables. Also, ensure that your home has proper ventilation as closed spaces can make the symptoms worse. Some precaution can help prevent a prolonged period of illness.
