2. This machine has been specially designed for: • Corrugated Box Manufacturers • Book Binders • File Manufacturers

3. Function • A slit reel of binding cloth of required width is fit into the machine. • Required length of the tape is fed into the digital programmer. • After cutting the tape is forwarded to the gluing station where it is glued from bottom. • The tape is then carried on a conveyor belt from where it can be picked up manually and pasted on the required surface.

7. - Costing • MACHINE COST Cost of Samrat - Rs. 1,55,000/-. If used for 25 days/month for the next 10 years then the cost of Samrat will be 25 days x 12 months x 10 years = 3000 days 1,55,000 / 3000 = Rs. 52 per day. Thus the cost of the machine is Rs. 52/- per day for the next 10 years.”

8. POWER Considering Power rate Rs. 6/- per unit. Power consumption of = 350 watts That means the machine consumes 1 unit power in 3 hours. Total Power Consumption = Rs. 17 for 8 hours shift. “That means you spend Rs. 17/- for 8 hrs of power consumption each day.”

9. BINDING CLOTH Manual Process- The cost of a reel of binding cloth of 1m x 20m = Rs. 350/-. From this reel if we cut pieces of 2” x 5” we will get 3200 pieces. Thus the cost per piece is Rs. 0.11/-. Considering that you manufacture 2000 boxes/ day then 8000 such pieces will be required everyday. Thus the cost of Binding Cloth= Rs. 0.11 x 8000 = Rs. 880/-. Process- The cost of a slit reel of binding cloth of 2” width is Rs. 1.12/m. Thus the cost per piece is Rs. 0.14/-. Thus the cost of Binding Cloth = Rs. 0.14 x 8000 = Rs. 1120/-. “That means you spend Rs. 240/- more per day on binding cloth.”

11. LABOUR Considering wages Rs. 200 per labour (8 hrs shift). Manual Process Cutting - 2 labours - 2 x 200 = Rs. 400. Gluing - 1 labour - 1 x 200 = Rs. 200. Total Labour Cost = Rs. 600 per day. Process No labour required as it is a completely automatic machine. “That means you save Rs. 600/- per day as labour charges.”

12. SPACE Considering Rs. 10 per sq. ft. per month. Manual Process Space Occupied for manual cutting and gluing of the binding cloth = 10’ x 8’ = 80 sq ft.
