Inventory Control Transaction Entry . . . • The user may exit a batch and re-enter it at a later time • An entire batch may be deleted prior to posting (must have a “suspended” status) • Each batch is posted independent from other batches • Posted batches may be copied or viewed • Special batches receive transactions from other applications (batch names that start with “Z”) • Integrates with • I/O Bar Code Assisted Receiving enhancement via “Z” batches • DMAS Physical Inventory Module postings via “Z” batches • DMAS Bin Balance Reports with updates via “Z” batches 4
Inventory Control Transaction Entry . . . • Co-resides with legacy DMAS workstation entry (should only be used for recovery purposes) • Transaction entry includes new optional fields • Reason code – User defined, 3 characters, supported with F4 key • Reference – 15 characters • Comment – 50 characters • New fields are not passed to inventory control history file DDI1500, but retained in an extension file • Inventory Entry and Processing menu has been re-structured 5
Inventory Control Transaction Entry . . . • Optional interface to G/L has been added to inventory transaction entry • When turned “On”, generates G/L journal transactions for up to 7 of the existing inventory transaction types • Interface to G/L may be turned “Off”, turned “On” for all batches, or “Optional” on a batch by batch basis • Default G/L offset accounts may be uniquely set by company • User may designate some transaction types to “not” interface to G/L • Physical Inventory counts posted from the DMAS Physical Inventory Module also interface to G/L • For multi-bin users, the Bin Balance Report with updates also interfaces to G/L 6
