  4. God’s Response? • God invites us near-v.9 Ephesians 2:13 Judges 6:24 • God hears and cares-v.9 Exodus 3:7 • God provides ( abundantly!) v.12 Isaiah 55:2 God’s best! Bread from heaven v.4

  5. Our Response? • What is this? Manna? v. 15 • We often don’t recognize and are not thankful for God’s daily miraculous provision • Who has provided?Luke 12:19-21 Time? Talent? Finances? Food?

  6. The Sabbath Principle • Learning to rest in God-v.5,22-30 Matthew 11:28 • Stop worrying. There is more than enough!- v.17-18 II Thessalonians 3:10 Proverbs 6:8 Philippians 4:6-7 • Learn to share freely-v.20 Matthew 6:38 II Corinthians 8:2

  7. Why Does God Provide So Generously for His Children? • Know God • Trust God • Walk in His ways- v.4,12 • The problem of abundance? Deuteronomy 6:10-12 • We forget Psalm 78:10-25

  8. A Much Deeper Hunger • The Glory of the Lord in a cloud-v.10 I Corinthians 10:1-2 • They ate the bread of heaven and died in their sins John 6:58

  9. Jesus is the Bread of Life John 6:35
