Otylia Jędrzejczak Otylia Jędrzejczak is a Polish swimmer. She is the current world and Olympic champion in the 200 metre butterfly. She took part in the 2000 and 2004 Summer Olympics and twice broke the world record in the women's 200m butterfly. On 25 March 2006 she came back to competitive swimming, winning 200 m butterfly at an international meet featuring Poland, Ukraine and the Czech Republic. She won in a time of 2:15.73 s, some 10 seconds slower than her own world record.

Dariusz Michalczewski Michalczewski came up through Poland's state-run sports program as a boy and had a successful amateur career Michalczewski had a perfect record of 48 wins and no losses when he faced Julio César González of Mexico in defense of his title on October 18, 2003. Coming into the fight, he was within one victory of tying Rocky Marciano's all-time record for an undefeated record by a world championship boxer. October of 2004, it was announced that Michalczewski would fight France's Fabrice Tiozzo. He fought him but he lost, and then he declared the end of his career in May 2005.
