How to Use thisPresentation This presentation provides information screens that explain the use of Mobile SalesMagic. After most of the information screens there is either a screen capture or screen animation that shows you how to use the Mobile SalesMagic System.
How to Use thisPresentation After any screen display, if you want to see it again, just press the Page Up key. You can advance to the next screen at any time by pressing the Page Down key.
Let’s get started The first thing that has to be done is to upload your Lead and/or Account information to the Mobile SalesMagic web site. This is accomplished with a program called Mobile SalesMagic Sync.
For Yellow Magic Users • If you have a Yellow Magic system, SalesMagic Sync will create the files needed for Mobile SalesMagic from the Yellow Magic tables. You need to specify the book and Mobile SalesMagic Sync will find the appropriate Free and Class Heading tables.
Create the CSV File • Once the Yellow Magic tables have been selected, the user can create the CSV (Comma-Separated Values) file that is needed to load the Mobile SalesMagicweb site database.
Select Sales Reps • The next three screens show how to select the lead records for mobile sales reps. If the user wants to select all lead records, the “Export Limited sub-set per Rep” check-box should not be selected. But if it is selected, then the user must indicate which of the available reps should be selected.
Select Number of Leads • The next step is to select how many leads per sales rep is to be uploaded to the web site and to export these records.
Save the CSV File • Save the CSV file for subsequent upload to the Mobile SalesMagic web site. • The files are named and dated so that you can do this as often as needed.
Upload the File • If you do not use a Yellow Magic system, then the CSV file must be prepared and made available for uploading. This next step uploads the file to the Mobile SalesMagic web site.
Login to the Web Site • Once the leads have been uploaded, they can be viewed from the Mobile SalesMagic web site. To view the web site the user the user must login to the site.
Do You Use anAppointment Setter? • Once the leads are on the web site, if the sales department does not use an appointment setter for the sales reps, the reps can request leads to be sent to their mobile devices. The following screens will illustrate how an Appointment Setter can work with a number of sales reps to make their appointments and to make their day more efficient.
Login to the Calendar • The Appointment Setter needs to login to the Appointment Setting Calendar feature.
Calendars • After selecting the lead from the Lead Table, a Calendar is opened, one for each sales rep.
Tell the Rep about the Appointment • When this is done, an SMS is sent to the Sales Rep informing him of the appointment and depending on how soon the appointment is, the higher the download priority is assigned.
Send Sales Material • While the Appointment Setter is talking to the prospect, she can view important sales information and even e-mail it to the prospect. This could include brochures, a pre-printed contract, last-year’s contract, last-year’s proof sheets, etc.
SMS or Java GUI • Mobile SalesMagic can be operated in one of two modes: SMS (Short Message Service) or Java GUI (Graphical User Interface). Any device that supports SMS can useMobile SalesMagic. However, if the user has a high-end mobile device that supports the installation of Java applets, he will be able to use the Java GUI mode. With such devices, the user simply needs to browse to a web site from where the applet can be downloaded and install it on his device.
Download the Leads • If the user is using the SMS mode, then he already has the lead, but when the user is using the Java GUI mode, the lead must be downloaded into the mobile device. Selection of this menu item will download the lead.
Leads via SMS • When operating in the SMS mode, the user sends an SMS requesting, in this case, two leads for book LB09.
