What is an asynchronous online interview? Any interview conducted online, where the interviewer and respondent are not co-located in time and space. Most common form is email, though may include forum messaging or similar. • Advantages: • Cheap • Accessible for anyone new to digital methods • Potential for respondents to reflect and reply at their leisure. • Disadvantages: • Easy to lose momentum • Issue of clarification if something is unclear • In some cases, they can take a long time if there are delays Reference: N.
