Many groups are contributing, interferometric community is growing • Management is difficult, accounting is tedious and expensive • Preparation of next-generation facility • Design-study proposal to FP7 • Need to be ready in 2008 (?) – which level of maturity is required? • Relation to roadmaps (ESFRI, Astronet) • Interface with OPTICON activities
