SOPOT. Sopot is a part of Tri-city ( Gdansk - Sopot - Gdynia ). Gdynia harbour. Gdańsk the old Crane. It is the most famous holiday resort in Poland. It is situated by the Baltic Sea. The resort was set up by a Napoleon’s officer J. G. Haffner at the beginning of the 19th century.

  7. Characteristic architecturefor this area are tenement houses, mansion and villas.

  8. Sopot is crowded with tourists, especially in summer, so there are a lot of guest houses and hotels.

  9. The oldest and themost important is the GRAND HOTEL, situated by the beach.
