Objectives : assess the extent of cognitive performance of the examinees. The data generated from the test results will be used in identifying strengths and weaknesses in each learning area, and to serve as bases for enrichment/ remedial instruction.
Part I- TEST INFORMATION The learning areas to be tested and other related information are shown below:
TEST MATERIALS • TEST BOOKLETS – There is a test booklet for every subject area both for Grade VI and Fourth year. These booklets can be identified by their respective color , as follows:
ANSWER SHEETS – Each examinee shall be given an answer sheet wherein he/she shall write his/her name, gender, school, grade/year, district, and division. • TEST ADMINISTRATOR’S HANDBOOK – One (1) handbook per testing room. PART II – TEST ADMINISTRATION Testing room and Examinees seating arrangement 1. The testing rooms shall be adequately supplied with clean chalkboards, eraser, pieces of chalk and armchairs or desks for 35 examinees in Grade 6 and 30 examinees for Fourth Year. Test schedule shall be written on the blackboard a day before the examination. 2. Examinees upon admission shall be seated alphabetically with the boys first, followed by the girls. The seating arrangement is illustrated below:

TEST PROPER ORIENTATION See Handbook for details
Selection of Schools to be tested: • Elementary -100% for Central Schools and 25% for non-central • Secondary - 100% for division lead schools and 25% for regular schools Distribution of test materials: • Test materials will be directly distributed to the schools divisions from the publisher/printer
Test administration One (1) room examiner per testing room. He/she must come from other district within the division. One (1) chief examiner per testing school. He/she must come from other district and must be preferably a Principal/Head Teacher. Chief Examiner will receive test booklets from the division offices. One (1) supervising examiner per 3 or less testing rooms. He/she must come from other division. Note: Test booklet will be opened in the presence of supervising examiner.
Checking and Consolidation of Test Results: Supervising examiner will be the one to check the answer sheets, consolidate the test results and do the item analysis. Submission of Consolidated test results: March 9, 2012
