I would like to book a holiday please • Scenario 1: Short Haul • A couple are looking to go abroad for the first time together. As the one passenger is absolutely terrified of heights, flying is out of the question. • They are looking at France, in particular Brittany. As they want to a bit of freedom when they’re there they have decided an apartment or a villa would be the best option. Ideally they would like it to sleep around 4 people to give them a bit of extra space so you will need to add a room supplement on for the upgrade. • They are looking to travel some time during August for 7 nights. (15th-21st)
I would like to book a holiday please • Scenario 1: Short Haul • What you must include: • Appropriate Transport (numbers and timings) • Appropriate Accommodation • Room Supplement • A full written breakdown • Your calculations • Relevant brochure pages marked up to show supplements etc. • Passport, visa and vaccination requirements. • Check in details • Baggage Allowance • An explanation as to why you have selected this particular holiday and how it meets all aspects of the customer brief. • You must use a brochure for this task not the internet. • I suggest you use Keycamp, their brochures will give you all the information you need to complete • this task.
Costing your holiday • Make sure you show your workings out on the grid provided and put accurate costs in your costing grid. • This should be submitted with brochure pages highlighted to show costs etc. • You should include: • Front Cover (to be given by lecturer) • Page of chosen accommodation • Page of costs (highlighted where relevant) • Page of terms and conditions (highlighted) • Ferry printout (from Moodle) • Costing Grid • Full written breakdown for customer with all information

I would like to book a holiday please • Scenario 2: Long Haul • A family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children aged 6 and 9) would like to go to Florida for 14 nights. • They would like to travel from a London airport in July. • They want to stay on International Drive. • The holiday must include a child discount. • It must also include passes to at least one of the theme parks.

I would like to book a holiday please- P5 • Scenario 1: Short Haul Head chef of Simpsons has approached Halesowen Holidays to produce an itinerary for a trip to Italy. Head chef John Barrowman is required to go to a number of different cities to which he will be seeking recipe ideas for the new menu at Simpsons. The travel requirements are as follows:- • Depart from a London airport on the 4th of August. • Fly to Rome • Spend three nights in Rome • Pick up a hire car for 5 nights (6 days) • Spend two nights in Florence • Spend two nights in Bologna • Spend one night in L'Aquila • Return by air to a London airport.

I would like to book a holiday please- P5 • Scenario 2: Long Haul • A young couple who have just married are looking to book their honeymoon. They would like to book a two week trip to Sydney, Australia with a 2 night stopover in Hong Kong. As it is their honeymoon they would like a good standard of accommodation with nice views wherever possible. • Depart from a London airport on the second Tuesday in August, airport parking is required for duration of stay. • Fly to Hong Kong for a 2 night stopover • Depart Hong Kong and fly to Sydney. • Spend 11 nights in a hotel in Sydney. • During their stay they would like to pre book a memorable excursion. • (Remember it is their honeymoon so find them something they will remember). • Return to a London airport.
