  4. Sunday School Study Overview And who will be her face, her heart, her voice and her hands? But who makes up Holy Spirit Evangelical Lutheran Church? God’s “Ambassadors”? “Witnesses”? “Servants”? “Teachers”? “Administrators”? “Hostesses”? “Mentors”? So we ask the questions… WHOSE are we? WHO are we? “Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God?”1 Cor. 6:19

Sunday School Study Overview • God made us in His Image • We are made for His glory, pleasure & purpose • He loves us so much that He gave His only begotten son…so we have value & worth • He has plans for us…to prosper us and not harm us, to give each of us a hope and a future • If God is our Heavenly Potter, then we are His earthly clay • He has filled us with His Holy Spirit to empower us and encourage us • He has given us Spiritual Gifts to build up & edify the Body • He has shaped our personality through family & experiences • He has given us talents and abilities, unique and specific He is Creator…and we are His creation

Sunday School Study Overview • You are God’s Masterpiece: SHAPE • We believe that everyone in God's family has a unique and valuable role to play in the kingdom of God. • One of the goals of this study is to help you discover who you are – your design and what you were made to do – your destiny • Since God never calls us to a task that He doesn’t first equip us to do; we believe the best way to determine your destiny (what you were made to do) is by better understanding your design (the way God made you). • In order to discover your design, we will explore 5 aspects of how God made you.

Sunday School Study Overview But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.Isaiah 64:8 PRAYERFather, forgive me for not agreeing with You that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Forgive me for believing the lies that I have to be somebody other than who I am. Help me to come into agreement with Your love for me and not despise all my imperfections. The fact that You love me and accept me is more important than the love and acceptance from anyone else. I am thankful that I am Your child, and that I am fearfully and wonderfully made! I know that full well. In the name of Your beloved Son Jesus I pray, Amen.
