2. Why do people eat fast food? • Low cost • Convenience • Good taste • Fast Food has become popular because people often don’t have the time to cook themselves decent meals. • Fast food companies came around because there was a demand for fast, cheap food.

Is Fast Food Addicting? • Tests have been done on lab rats. • Results show that fast food has a drug-like effect on the brain. • If someone consumes fast food regularly, they will eventually need more in order to feel good again. • If they do not get more, they will go through withdrawal. • This cycle often leads people into becoming obese and sometimes malnourished. • A counter argument I found pointed out that humans have the ability to make healthy choices that go against their current desires. • People have complained that companies are misleading consumers into thinking they are making healthy foods.

4. Why is fast food so unhealthy? • Fast foods often contain large amounts of salt, fat, and sugar. • Fast food has been linked to many health-related issues.

5. Why do food companies use bright colors in their advertisements? • Bright colors, especially red and yellow, are used to get people more excited about a product or brand. • Many food brands and stores use red in their logos to look more interesting to consumers.

7. False Advertising Companies will make fast food look perfect in an advertisement by adding strange ingredients. The real thing is never as nice looking as the advertised version.

8. Fast Food Product Placement • Fast food companies will often pay to have their products and/or brands placed in a movie or video game. • They will go to great lengths to advertise. • They do this to make people want what they saw in a movie that they just watched or a game they just played.
