Select the grinding parameters that reduce the specific energy • EXPLANATION: To reduce specific energy in grinding: Increase grain size; Increase the removal rate; Increase the depth of cut, cutting speed and feed rate; Perform a frequent dressing of the grinding wheel; Aluminium oxide and silicon carbide wheels are better than CBN and diamond for a given removal rate; Use neat oil as coolant instead of soluble oil.
