Study given materials regarding stacking and storing and the operation of lift trucks. A discussion / demonstration of the basic functions and operations of a lift truck is facilitated at the machine. Self Study Plant investigations Collect Information Media search Expert demonstration Attend lectures HOW Group Discussions • Learners are supplied with copies of the company policies and procedures regarding stacking and storing as well as the operation of lift trucks • List the various lift trucks and what loads each can carry • A discussion / demonstration of the basic functions and operations of lift trucks is facilitated • Learners individually undertake an inspection of the operation of lift trucks and identify all potential hazards • Recommendations are made to reduce / avoid these hazards and the impact of possible hazards. • A short report on the recommendations is drafted.
