CDMA Voice and SMS Roaming TDS September 21, 2005 Technical Data Sheet work history • CDG Document 81 – CDMA International Roaming Technical Data Sheets • Can be accessed at www.cdg.org. Members/Reference Documents/Roaming/81 • Created in late 2002 and republished early 2004 • Discussed updating this document in the June of 2005 IRT meeting • Held a conference call early August 2005 to discuss details of those changes • New draft based on feedback from the conference call
CDMA Voice and SMS Roaming TDS September 21, 2005 Goal • Implement decisions from last meeting • Increase communication of and update the standard format document • Add a PRL tab to the existing standard format • Use standard terminology when possible • Enhance the contact list to include more than just contract contacts
CDMA Voice and SMS Roaming TDS September 21, 2005 Numbering Information Tab • One carrier requested including MTA/BTA/CMA. Is there a common set of terms for this outside of North America? • Different carriers use different formats for MBIs. Suggest the document contain both and a carrier should choose whichever format corresponds to their numbering methods. • Added SMS point codes for SMS roaming.
CDMA Voice and SMS Roaming TDS September 21, 2005 Network Elements Tab • MSC and HRL/VLR don’t require all the same information. Should these elements be broken out with different fields related to them? • Authentication supported (Y/N) would this change by network element? • Authentication algorithm – is this something carriers want to put on their TDS?

Although they are not required for PRL design, they are necessary for cost savings analysis. • Is all the information asked for in the negative SID section required?
CDMA Voice and SMS Roaming TDS September 21, 2005 SMS Tab • Added SMS point codes onto the Numbering Information Tab • Added an SMS Tab which includes the technical information needed for MO and MT • MDN was suggested by someone as a requirement for SMS roaming but I have not been able to find a carrier to confirm the need for an MDN on the TDS

CDMA Voice and SMS Roaming TDS September 21, 2005 Next Steps • Take comments from this group and update or approve the Voice and SMS Excel file (Appendix I) • Conference call to approve the next draft as current version • Continue work on the Billing TDS (Appendix II) • One carrier has volunteered to assist with a base draft • Conference call with IRT members to discuss draft and changes • Have draft of the Billing TDS (Appendix II) for approval during the December IRT meeting • Update the Word documents that introduce and explain the two Excel files • Target for Word document is March IRT or earlier depending on the progress of the Billing TDS Appendix
