Welcome to PhonicsFun! • To get started on your study of phonics, read or listen to the story The War Between the Vowels and the Consonants by Priscilla Turner to be certain you understand the difference between vowels and consonants. • As you work through each slide, watch the video and play the Mind Reader game. Use the letter cubes or tiles to build the mystery word. For each phonics rule write your own riddle for the Mind Reader game and give them to your teacher when you are finished. The class will play the game together using all of the students’ riddles at the end of the study. • Additional games are at the end of the slide show. Log on to a desk top computer, go to the “L” drive, and pull up this slide show. Each game is linked from each picture on the slide. Use the letter tiles and “Say It and Move It” placemat to work the words. • HaveFun!!!
