1. King Kekaulike Complex Math Academy Mission: It is the mission of KKCMA to prepare all students for success in math as measured by performance on school, state and national assessment

2. Vision We believe that the most promising strategy for achieving the mission of KKCMA is to develop our capacity to function as a professional learning community. We envision a school in which staff: Unite to achieve a common purpose and clear goals; Work together in collaborative teams;

3. Vision (continued) Seek and implement promising strategies, including technology for improving student achievement in math on a continuing basis; Monitor each student’s progress; and Demonstrate a personal commitment to the academic success and general well-being of all students

Collective Commitments In order to achieve the vision of developing our capacity to function as a professional learning community, the KKCMA has made the following collective commitments: Align math curriculum with Hawaii State Standards for all KKC schools to utilize Develop, implement, and evaluate plans to target specific instructional areas identified by student data analysis

Collective Commitments (continued) Engage in meaningful staff development and Professional Learning Communities to enhance professional skills Ensure that all schools offer parents resources, strategies and information to help students succeed in math Research a variety of instructional strategies to promote math success for all students Facilitate math curricular articulations within and between KKC schools
