OVER 110 000 OF 170,000 PLACES HAVE BEEN CREATED ACROSS THE UK NEXT 6 MONTHS ACROSS NORTH WALES • GROUNDWORK 72 ACROSS WREXHAM FLINTSHIRE • GROUNDWORK 120 ACROSS GWYNEDD AND ANGLESEY • WCVA target of 450 in North Wales per 6 months • RHYL CITY STRATEGY 134 IN RHYL AND CONWY (coastal regeneration areas)

  4. Approx 776 FJF places across North Wales • Approx 4,500 18-24s claiming JSA

GROUNDWORK MODEL • ONE STOP CENTRAL CONTACT FOR JOB CENTRE ADVISORS TO RECRUIT SUITABLE PEOPLE • EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT OFFICER AND EMPLOYER LIAISON OFFICER PROVIDE MENTORING AND ADVOCACY, QUALITY AND CONSISTENCY • ARRANGE TRAINING – 12 weeks 60 hours NOCN 2 employability skills, (Deloitte model) • 2nd 3 months specific training

Wider possibilities of FJF • LINK WITH OTHER PROGRAMMES – ILM, GATEWAY, SKILLBUILD, APPRENTICESHIPS • MATCH FUNDING FOR AN ESF TRAINING PROGRAMME • DEVELOP SOCIAL ENTERPRISES • KICK START A REGIONAL EMPLOYMENT GROUP ACROSS NORTH WALES, GROUNDWORK, WCVA, RHYL CITY STRATEGY, MON A MENAI, HOUSING ASSOCIATIONS, LOCAL AUTHORITIES, FE COLLEGES
