  5. Location of Sample Water • On 9/03/02 an ocean water sample was collected from the surface at Hyde Park. • On 9/25/02 ocean water samples were collected from the surface, at 40’ depth, and at 80’ depth in the East Passage.

  6. CONCLUSION • In examining our data, we concluded that the lower salinity reading at the deeper depth would be caused by lower water temperatures; since salt precipitates out of water in colder temperatures.
