APACC New Instrument: Why Revise? • Based on feedback of users - applicant/accredited TVET institutions - accreditors
General Update on APACC Instrument 1 Old Instrument: Some indicators/elements are ambiguous which result in confusion or different interpretation during Self-Study or On-Site Visit. 2019 Instrument: More simple and objective indicators and sub-indicators, which eliminates confusion and subjectivity during scoring. Indicators and sub-indicators are now in proper order and with unique number.

Other Updates on Instrument • Self Study Guide is now called Self Study Form • Retained only the most relevant annexes and data sources (from 51 annexes, down to 42 annexes) • “Elements” are now called “Sub-Indicators” and no longer in question form to provide flexibility to Accreditors in probing and getting evidences • Revised terms - “Faculty Members” to “Teaching Staff” and “Support Staff” to “Non-Teaching Staff”
