Daily Schedule • Bell ringer: • 456 x 64 = • On your table: • Interactive notebook • Homework • Whiteboard and marker • Pencil • Agenda (Textbooks should stay at home.)
In Class Assignments and Homework Notes will be completed in the interactive notebook. The interactive notebook will usually be collected at the end of the chapter to be graded. If a student does not have their interactive notebook they can still participate by completing the assignment on a piece of lined paper and rewriting, taping, or gluing the paper in that evening for homework. Grades are posted to Q.
Thursday 8/29 Homework: • Written on board the last 10 minutes of class. • Students are to write it in their agenda daily. • Almost always an extension of the day’s lesson
Agenda • Important events are listed on the calendar pages of your child’s agenda. • Parent Conferences: • Minimum Days • Held the Wednesday after progress notices are sent homeand are located in MP room • No schedule given – teachers are available between 12 and 2. • Attend only if you would like to meet with a teacher concerning your student’s grade.
When A Student is Absent…. • Check board for any missed homework • Copy notes from Teacher’s Interactive Notebook. • Talk to Mrs. Jennings • Schedule appointment before or after school (any day except Thursday) to make up missed quizzes/tests.
Grades • Grades will be determined by averaging scores for all quizzes, homework, class work, and participation. • Printed grade reports will be given after each test. • Students will be assessed in multiple ways, including the following: homework, class work, whiteboard work, tests, and quizzes. • Grades will be assigned using the following percentages • A, 90-100% • B: 80-89% • C: 70-79% • D: 60-69% • F: 0-60%
Late Work • Assignments are due when called for by the teacher. • Assignments turned in late will automatically lose 25 %. • Absent work receives full credit.
Classroom Behavior Expectations • Punctual –Be at your desk and working when the bell rings. • Prepared –Bring appropriate materials and be ready to learn. • Polite –Be respectful of peers, staff, and campus. • Productive – Follow directions the first time. • Observe all rules in the student handbook.

If Students Choose to Break a Rule… • 1st Time: Warning • 2nd Time: 30 seconds after class • 3rd Time: 1 minute after class • 4th Time: Lunch detention or Pitch In • 5th Time: Buddy Room • 6th Time: Referral to administration for consequence
