  1. Portland’s Hazmat Response Team on scene with detection and chemical analysis equipment at the Drano Bomb scene. Portland Police’s Bomb Squad also responded

  2. Device in question was found in a second floor restroom, in the waste receptacle. It was found by students and a custodian

  3. Hazmat Team Technicians enter with gas monitors, chemical strips and a laser device that can detect chemicals. They also conducted a safety screening of the room to rule out the possibility of an active device.

  4. Team Coordinator Grant Coffey, consulting with team personnel and Portland Police EDU team members on the results of the chemical monitoring by a team technician

  5. Some of the leftover products from the chemical reaction. Products can be hazardous to the skin and respiratory system
