  3. New TestsWeek Beginning Monday 9th May • English Reading • English Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (SPaG) (2 papers) • Maths (3 papers)

  4. Life Without Levels • KS2 test outcomes will no longer be reported using levels. • Scaled scores will be used instead. • Scaled score will be based on their ‘raw’ score. • 100 will always be the ‘national standard’.

  5. Reading Paper • One paper 60 minutes to complete • No reading time • 3 Texts (1500-2300 words in total) • They will get more difficult as children move through the test • Can be non fiction, fiction or poetry

  7. SPaG • Two papers • Spelling paper – read by us • Punctuation and grammar paper – 45 minutes to answer (50 marks)

Important Information • Mock Week: week beginning 18th April. • Illness: if your child is ill and unable to come into school then please contact school as soon as possible. • Access Arrangements: • Children who have specific difficulties should be allowed extra time to complete the tests; • Some children, who we feel will benefit, will be placed in smaller rooms to complete the tests.

  19. Breakfast - please ensure your child has a good breakfast! • Snacks – please supply with healthy snacks before/after tests. • Science: may be tested! If we are, will be week 13th June.
