2. Civilizing Institutions Need an Earth Ethicto Help Humanity Retreat from Self-Extinction.. • Globalization has caused our institutions, schools, governments, corporations, politics, economics, and religions to all distance ourselves from the earth ideals and principals of aboriginal peoples. • It has become apparent there is an important lesson about living as one with Mother Earth that is not being heard in the face of globalization and progress. • A prime directive of the Earth Treaty Project is to influence human involvement in matters of environment by becoming protectors of Mother Earth. • As agents in the preservation and enrichment of humanity and the world, we hope for a planetary-shared continuity and journey of respect for all life on this earth.

3. Sensitivity and Visionary Growth Which is Sustainable • In the heart of aboriginal peoples, it has become apparent there is an important lesson about living as one with Mother Earth that is not being heard. • Such awareness must again be the global standard against which our parliaments, councils and individual selves must be measured. • What is an Earth Ethic? It is a realization and acceptance that all laws, customs, cultures and practices, which define us as human or civilized, ultimately must rest upon and be consistent with the survival of life on this planet!

4. Proposed Vision, Earth Ethic:A simple set of Goals, Objectives, and Activities • At its center, the Earth Treaty Project will work to create a range of Earth Treaties, generated in cooperation with individuals, groups and communities, which are clear and concise documents that consists of: • (A) A statement and outline of an achievable goal, proportional to the scale of the sponsor. • (B) An outline or a series of activities to guide and lead to and achieve the goals stated. • (C) A plan to provide a tool to evaluate the effectiveness of the activity.

5. The Objects of the Earth Treaty Project • To generally encourage, foster and develop among the Earth Treaty members and other audiences, a deeper appreciation and respect for Mother Earth. • To promote more involvement in the sustenance of environment, and to further an understanding of our dependency on it. • To provide opportunities for the Earth Treaty Project and the contemporary society composed of non-governmental organizations and institutions, government, public and private sectors, to open dialogue and to incorporate earth wisdom into their policies and strategies. • To encourage the introduction and utilization of Aboriginal wisdom in application to areas of concern, in the environment, justice, education, economics, cultural development, social change, family and community life. • To provide education, inspiration and leadership to institutions, organizations and other audiences as their mandates may require. • To enhance the worldwide appreciation, recognition and wisdom of Aboriginal Peoples, and engage in a healthy, cooperative dialogue with all humanity as concerns of our common life, through Earth Treaties.
