Join us at New Borwick Hall Outdoor Education Centre from Wednesday 13th to Friday 15th June for an exciting adventure in the heart of Borwick village. Enjoy a range of outdoor activities and explore the stunning surroundings. Depart with Mrs. Roddy, Mrs. Burtonwood, and Mr. Cawley on Wednesday and return by 3.30pm on Friday. All children are required to bring a packed lunch for Wednesday and will be accommodated in rooms with bedding provided. The itinerary includes group activities, meals, and orienteering. Ensure to inform Mrs. Roddy of any food allergies or medical conditions. Follow the rules of the Centre and remember to have a maximum of £5 spending money for the tuck shop.   1. New Borwick Hall Outdoor Education Centre Wednesday 13th – Friday 15th June

  2. New Borwick Hall Outdoor Education Centre is situated in the heart of Borwick village. The extensive grounds lie alongside the Lancaster Canal, giving an excellent access to this wonderful resource. Located just 2 miles from Junction 35 on the M6, Borwick Hall offers easy access to both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National parks.

  4. Depart: late morning Wednesday 13th June Return: by 3.30pm Friday 15th June

  5. All children need a packed lunch for Wednesday

  6. Accommodation – 2 or 3 children to a room All bedding provided

  7. WEDNESDAY: Have lunch p.m. First group activity Evening meal Unpack! Make beds! Games on the field

  8. Arrival routine Drop bags in a storage area then head into meeting room Welcome talk by course director Visiting leader and course director meeting Group health and safety tour Fire drill Collect equipment Activity session pm Evening meal Make beds and settle into accommodation

  9. One activity on Wednesday afternoon Other activities on Thursday

  10. 3 groups: Group A – Barrel rafting Group B – Problem solving and team building Group C – High Ropes and Telegraph Pole

  11. Friday morning – ORIENTEERING

  12. MEALS… Breakfast – cereal, hot choice, toast, drink Packed lunch Cooked evening meal – Choice available

  13. Please inform Mrs Roddy of any food allergies or special dietary requirements But not fussy eaters!

  14. Please also inform of any medical conditions that we need to be aware of INHALERS, MEDICATION Parental consent and medical form to be returned

  15. Equipment List: Will be provided nearer the time… £5 maximum spending money (only a tuck shop). Coins please! Cameras allowed

  16. Rules of the Centre: No alcohol No mobile phones No chewing gum No electrical equipment No aerosols No smoking No unsupervised departures from the grounds No visitors

  17. Please ensure we have a current contact tel no in case of any emergencies Best behaviour – enjoyment and safety for all

  18. Balance of payment to school by Friday 18th May please
