  2. Painkillers • Vicadin: acetaminophen and hydrocodone  • Brand names:Anexia,Vicodin and many more. Acetaminophen is a less potent pain reliever that increases the effects of hydrocodone.Vicodin is used to relieve moderate to severe pain. • Hydrocodine: dihydrocodeinon;Painkiller; semi-synthetic opioid derived from either of two naturally occurring opiates: codeineand thebaine. It is an orallyactivated narcoticpainkiller and analgesic. Available in many forms such as tablets, syrup etc.

  3. Anti-Depressant • Trivastal: Piribedil (trade names Trivastal, Pronoran,etc) is an anti-parkinsonian agent and acts as a receptor agonist.  • Stat:Adultuse of antidepressants almost tripled between the periods 1988-1994 and 1999-2000

  4. Asthma Inhalers • Flovent:Fluticasone oral inhalation, used to prevent difficulty breathing, chest tightness, and coughing caused by asthma. It is characterized as a corticosteroids. It works by decreasing swelling and irritation in the airways to allow for easier breathing. • Stat: Asthmaaffects more than 20 million adults in the United States. Meaning a high demand for corticosteroids and other inhalers.

  5. Sleeping Pills • Lunesta:Eszopiclone is used to treat insomnia (difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep). Its characterized as a hypnotic drug. It works by slowing activity in the brain to allow sleep. • Stat: One in 10 U.S. adults routinely has trouble sleeping or staying asleep, and 3 in 10 experience occasional sleeplessness.

  6. Addiction • Physical dependence is a normal adaptation to chronic exposure to a drug and is not the same as addiction. • All drugs can be physically dependent for the body although there is still the fact that addiction with improper use is possible • Opioids have had symptoms of withdrawal such as restlessness, muscle and bone pain, insomnia and others symptoms. • Vicadin is a highly addictive substance since it contains part of an opioid known as Hydrocodine which induces feelings of analgesic which many feel pleasant to many feeling mild to severe pain.
