  1. October 20, 2011 Let’s talk about SEPA!

What is SEPA? • Southeastern Psychological Association Conference • Paper presentations, poster presentations, etc. • Why should I be interested? • It’s a good way to find out what new research is being done in the field • You can get to know people who are out there doing research and possibly get a few contacts for your future career • It’s a great way to make some new friends • IT’S FUN! (Kristen and Hannah please tell them how great it is)

  3. SEPA: • Location and Dates:February 15th- 18th 2012 (Wednesday – Saturday) • NEW ORLEANS! (yes it is Mardi Gras- please don’t go crazy) • Sheraton New Orleans

  4. $$$$$$ COST $$$$$$ • Advanced registration fees for SEPA are $30 • Must be turned in by November 15th to national office • Turn in registration to Tori by November 10th to ensure that your registration will be taken care of on time • Get your stuff in ASAP  • Transportation is your responsibility • Due to lack of funding, we are not able to provide travel costs (SORRY FOLKS ) • Southwest: $368 for round-trip “Wanna Get Away” tickets • Usually a sale near holidays for lower ticket prices

  5. $$$$$$ COST $$$$$$ • The total cost of rooms is $1431 • 3 rooms for 3 days • Psi Chi will pay HALF. The remaining half will be split between people going to SEPA • The more people go, the less it will individually cost • Payments: • This year SEPA will be paid for in three payments • 1st payment = December 9th • 2nd payment = January 13th • 3rd payment = February 1st
