Machine Preferences • User Preferences configure preferences for the current user • System Preferences configure system-wide settings for every user • Machine Preferences configure settings for the machine on which the user is currently logged in • Machine Preferences are associated with the Security Code ISTUSRPREF and ISTMPREF • Radiologists and iSite PACS Administrators typically require access to Machine Preferences
Importing and Exporting Preferences • Importing and Exporting Preferences • Many preference settings can be imported and exported to facilitate setting up User and System Preferences • The User Preferences that can be imported and exported are Window Width/Center and Filters • The System Preferences that can be imported and exported are Window Width/Center, Filters, Annotation, DICOM Sources, Screen Overlays, Paper Printing, Organization Dictionary, Location Dictionary and Body Part Dictionary • Please note that importing preferences will override any preferences in the system
Preferences Dialog • Preferences can be accessed by selecting the ‘P’ icon in the upper-right corner of the iSite Control Strip
Display Monitors • ‘Display’ indicates the Graphics Controller used by each monitor
Monitor Functions • ‘Monitor Functions’ control the function of the monitor • iSite Radiology enables users to determine the function associated with each monitor • Please Note: Changes require application restart
Monitor Functions • ‘ROP’ or Radiology Operations Panel provides the Worklist Page and Canvas Page for navigation context
Monitor Functions • ‘Diagnostic’ refers to medical grade diagnostic monitors used for image review
Font Sizes • ‘Small Font,’ ‘Medium Font,’ and ‘Large Font’ control font size of the Screen Overlays
Font Sizes • Users may select font size from the Screen Overlay Font Size menu in the User Preferences Display Preferences • The value of each selection is determined by the Machine Preferences Font Size settings
Font Sizes • The Screen Overlay is shown at left with 30 font size
Font Sizes • ‘Image Menu Font’ controls the font size of the Context Menu (image pop-up menu)

Plug Ins • Applications Program Interface (API) Plug Ins are used to provide enhanced feature sets such as advanced workflow and visualization to users
Plug In Dialog • Choose a display name for the Plug Ins folder and then set whether it will be displayed in the folder tree • Plug Ins visible in the Folder List are visible to all users
Plug In Dialog • Enter the URL of the Plug In • Select to enable in either iSite Radiology, iSite Enterprise or both • Please Note: Do not deselect ‘Disable API’ prior to contacting Philips iSite Care Center
Plug In Dialog • Users may require specific Security Codes to use the Plug In if the ‘Requires Security Code’ option is enabled
Orthopedic Templates • OrthoView provides a digital orthopedic template solution
Document Scanning • PACScan provides a digital document scanning solution
Local Exam Cache • Philips iSite PACS provides an option to cache images on workstations • Images are cached in an encrypted format • If sufficient memory is not available, exams will be deleted in a first in, first out manner • If sufficient memory is not available despite excess image deletion, the user will receive a notification
Local Exam Cache • The Local Exam Cache folder in the iSite Folder List allows the user to cache patient exams on the local machine for later review • The Local Path shows where the exams are being stored, this path cannot be edited
Local Exam Cache • The Maximum Cache Size may be restricted to prevent over-utilization of memory resources
Local Exam Cache • Exams may be automatically deleted upon user logout • Exams may be deleted based upon a time delay from when last accessed
General Preferences • The General Machine Preferences allows the user to adjust the brightness of the Image Overlays displayed over diagnostic images
General Preferences • DICOM Print must have an AE Title listed in order to print images to film
Overlay Brightness • Overlay Brightness controls the brightness of the Screen Overlays • For the most visible Screen Overlays, set the slider to ‘More(100%)’
Font Sizes • The Screen Overlay is shown at left with 100% brightness
Workstation Location • To designate the location of this machine, as seen in the login dialog, select the desired default location from the pull-down menu • Please Note: Workstation Location is based upon a multi-site configuration option
Cache Size • To restrict the cache size used by Philips iSite Platform partner applications please select ‘Restrict Cache Size’ and choose an appropriate value
Cache Size • ‘Percentage of the Cache used for volumes’ may be used to prevent the Philips iSite MPR feature from over-utilization of memory resources
Navigation Console Size • The Navigation Console Size controls the resolution of the Radiology Operations Panel
Override Access Group Autologout • ‘Use Machine Auto Logout time’ may be used on specific workstations to extend or reduce session timeouts such as the Operating Room or the Emergency Room respectively
Scanner Preference • Scanner Preference provides options for the connection of the barcode reader to the iSite Radiology workstation

Remote Reading • iSite Radiology Remote Reading is a feature that provides a solution to limited network bandwidth over a variety of multi-user, distributed reading and network environments • Remote Reading leverages the Local Exam Cache feature by automatically pre-caching Unread exams from the radiologist’s worklist filter
Remote Reading • Users must have the Security Codes ISTMPREF, ISTLCACHE, and ISTDICTATE to enable and use the Remote Reading feature
Enable Remote Reading • Users must select ‘Automatically open next exam from active filter after marking read’ to have the option to enable Remote Reading
Enable Remote Reading • The Remote Reading Mode check box must be selected to enable the remote reading feature
