  1. CERN’s unique library ofbooks in English

  2. The library was born in CERN’s early years, over half a century ago, when expatriate Brits clubbed together to have English books sent over from the UK. This precious collection, consisting mainly of fiction but also some non-fiction, has been lovingly maintained and enlarged over the years and is today conveniently located in barrack 564, accessible to members at all times. Our motto today remains as it always was:

  3. “Satisfying CERN’s need for a jolly good read”

  4. The annual membership fee for retired staff is an unbeatable30CHF giving you access to the entire collection plus new books purchased twice a year. For more information about joining, visit our website … http://cern.ch/englishbookclub Or call: the President Mark Jones (74396) the Treasurer Morna Robillard (73224) or the Secretary John Pym (73554)
