  2. MAAILMAMERE OSAD • MERI - maailmamere osa, mis on lõikunud maismaasse või mida avaookeanist eraldavad veealused kõrgendikud või saared; erineb ookeanist peamiselt veerežiimi poolest.

  3. MEREDE JAOTUS AVATUSE JÄRGI • SISEMERI-meri, mis on ühenduses ookeani või lähema merega ühe või mitme väina kaudu. • SAARTEVAHELINE MERI- on ookeanist eraldatud saartega. • ÄÄREMERI – on osaliselt piiratud maismaaga ning ookeanist eraldatud saarte ja poolsaartega.

  4. MEREDEST VÄIKSEMAD OSAD: • LAHT - suhteliselt väike maismaasse lõikuv ookeani, mere või järve osa • VÄIN - – suhteliselt kitsas veeväli, mis eraldab maismaa osi ja ühendab veekogusid või nende osi NB! JÄTAN KÕIK MEELDE JA OLEN TUBLI!
