Could 的主要用法. A) could 是 can 的过去式, 表示与过去有关的能力和推测 eg. The father knew his son could make the bookshelf by himself. eg. We all knew that the young girl couldn’t be a teacher. B) could 可以代替 can 表示请求, 但语气较 can 客气,委婉 eg. Could you lend me your dictionary ?
