Experiments with 3 or More Factors • Many studies have 3 or more factors, sometimes many more • Main Effects and 2-Factor Interactions are same as in 2-Way ANOVA • Higher order interactions occur when the 2-factor interactions appear differently at different levels of other factor(s) • For 3 factor models, we will have factors A, B, and C, with a, b, and c levels respectively. • In many experiments, with large number of factors, the goal is to screen for important factors with few observations
