  2. The light emitting diodes or the LEDs are the latest innovation in the world of lights. They are the light source which is based on the semiconductor technology and have up to 20 times more lifespan than the conventional fluorescent or incandescent lamps. • The LEDs have been an important part of the electronics industry for a long time, but only recently they have gain importance as a light source due to the development of high power LEDs. The modern LEDs can give us light which is strong enough so that they can be used as a substitute for mercury fluorescent lamps or incandescent lamps.

  4. Heat Transfer • The ballasts compatible LED T5 tubes generate much less amount of heat when compared to the mercury fluorescent lamps or incandescent lamps. Here the electrical energy is mostly processed to light (90%), so the only small amount of heat is produced when these LEDs are switched on. So, there is very less chance of getting oneself burnt even after significant exposure or direct contact with this type of LEDs.

In contrast to the conventional mercury fluorescent lamps or incandescent lamps, the LEDs are 100% recyclable. They help to reduce the carbon dioxide emissions and thus protect the environment.
