3. The very first room in the gallery introduces you to the Impressionist artists. • Well “Hello” Mr Claude Monet sees you enter the room and immediately starts to paint you. • He keeps talking about capturing light and shadows, if you don’t move soon you might be stuck here all day GET MOVING!!!! LEFT RIGHT

4. In your haste to get out of the last room you seem to have stubbled into the DADA movement. • Artist Hannah Hoch is waiting there and she is armed with scissors. She decides your clothes and hair would be perfect for her new collage. • It would be a good idea to move on and quickly... RIGHT LEFT

5. DEAD END TRY AGAIN OUT

6. *cough cough* *splutter splutter* you enter a room you can hardly breathe and cant see a thing. It is dark with lots of smoke. • Out of the smoke pops Surrealist artist Wolfgang Paaleen he wants you to join in making some Fumage artworks. • You better move fast if you don’t want to get smoke inhalation... LEFT RIGHT

7. AHHHH finally some fresh air Phew... • Now you walk along a long hallway. • At the end there is only 1 door to your right. RIGHT

8. As you open the door and step inside • BAM!!!!! • A big clump of paint slams you in the belly. Ahhh your new clothes are covered in paint. You have walked in on a paint splatter session with Abstract Expressionist Jackson Pollack. • You have not got any on your shoes yet you better get as far away from this room as possible. LEFT

9. You find a little sitting area just outside the room with towels and a comfy chair you have a 10 minute rest • But now its time to keep moving and exploring. Which way will you go?? LEFT RIGHT

10. You open the door to find a man sitting next to a bed. With a mix between a pen, needle and a drill. • Simon Hart the Tattoo artist is waving you over so he can show you his skills. • RUN, RUN NOW!!!! Or you will end up with some very permanent art somewhere on your body. RIGHT LEFT

11. PHEW THAT WAS CLOSE.... • You need to catch your breath. Put your hands above your head and take deep breaths in and out • And remember to NEVER go in that room again... RIGHT

12. Behind the next door is alot of noise. You open it and immediately see why.. • Graffiti artist Jean-Michel Basquiat is in the middle of a piece. He has inadvertently sprayed yellow spray paint in you hair. • He offers you a spray can and says “give it a go”. • Oh no your not getting involved with this now your shoes are still relatively clean. Time to move on.. LEFT RIGHT

13. *****FLASH***** • Oh no, you are temporarily blinded. • Post modernist photographer Alice Boughtonhas unexpectedly taken you picture. • You stumble around in shock and then under your finger tips you feel a door handle you trip as you go through.... OUT

14. Sprawled on the floor you open your eyes reluctantly and find you are finally back in the foyer. • You are covered in paint, your hair has spray paint through it, you smell like a chimney, you are half blinded and you almost got a tattoo. • Sounds like you enjoyed the ‘Learn the genre’ Gallery.
