  3. Millwrights are a highly skilled group of construction workers who work primarily in industrial settings and with machinery and equipment requiring precision. Millwrights work to specifications requiring the most stringent of tolerances.

  4. Union Millwrights craftspersons trained in the use of tools, equipment and materials that help them perform a wide variety of jobs, including assembly, erection, installation and maintenance of all types of industrial machinery, including dismantling, lifting and rigging, just to name a few. If it moves, you need a Millwright.

  5. Millwrights work indoors and out, using hand and power tools, rigging and hoisting equipment, torches and welders, lasers, optical transits and precision measuring tools.

  6. Millwrights install, maintain, diagnose and repair machines, including compressors, pumps, conveyors, monorails, extruders, gas and steam turbines, and mining equipment, among others.

  7. There are 2,327millwrights In the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters, including 291 apprentices.
