We are actively lending Over 1,100 applications received from SMEs weekly, with approval rates consistently averaging 80% In the first 6 months we drew down €1.2bn & approved €1.7bn Bank of Ireland is regulated by the Financial Regulator.
Examples of recent lending transactions… Galway: a transport company borrowing €40k to assist in building a new loading dock. Mullingar: €4.9m to fund the purchase of a nursing home. Galway: Sports Nutrition Company borrowing €15k to help with expansion of the business and to provide working capital for new projects Dublin: a service station borrowing €600k to fund the purchase of their existing premises (currently rented). Cork: a Civil Engineering Materials supply company borrowing €1.4m to purchase a new unit. Waterford: a farmer borrowing €700k to fund a new milking set up for farm.

National Enterprise Week • An initiative driven by Bank of Ireland • An opportunity to provide tangible support to SME businesses • 2 key focus areas: • Show Your Business – over 1400 businesses participated during the week showcasing their products and services in their local Branch • Events are being hosted nationwide, Local Events – over 60 events hosted nationwide, including Northern Ireland, giving businesses the opportunity to gather free advice and support, and network with other local businesses. • Plans are currently underway to develop our National Enterprise Programme further
Enterprise Builder • Enterprise Builder is a new independent business support service developed by Bank of Ireland and exclusively available to our business customers. • How does it work? • Businesses can avail of an exclusive consultation with an Enterprise Builder mentor. • An expert mentor will arrange a 2-3 hour on-site visit with key stakeholders to identify challenges and opportunities. • Customers will be provided with a summary report with insightful suggestions on ways to improve the business. • The Mentors • We have compiled a network of over 70 professional advisers • Panel of industry experts are all senior executives with a proven track record of business success • They volunteer their professional acumen, advice and support, acting as a confidential sounding board for customers on such business issues as expansion into new export markets, more targeted sales and marketing and strategic business planning • To date, over 370 customers have availed of the service
