Political Science (6 hrs): MUST be POLS206 & 207, no options. Kinesiology (2 hrs): KINE198 (1 hr) and KINE199 (1 hr). KINE199 must be taken S/U. If you transfer in two KINE199 then you are done. Writing Intensive Courses: (IN major) BIOL351, 388, 400, 401, 423, 455, 495, and OCNG420.

10. Foreign Language Foreign Language requirement can be satisfied by: 1) Completing 2 years of the same language in high school. 2) Demonstrating proficiency by examination 3) Completing two semesters of course work in the same foreign language

11. RESIDENCY VERY IMPORTANT A minimum of 36 semester hours of 300- and/or 400-level course work must be successfully completed in residence at Texas A&M to obtain a baccalaureate degree. A minimum of 12 of these 36 semester hours must be in the major field of study.

12. Choice of Electives Not allowed as electives: • Courses below the minimum level required in other areas of the degree program (BIOL 107, MATH 102, 103) • Introductory courses to another field of study (BIMS 101, AGLS 101). • Any ROTC course. • Only one additional KINE199

13. Department Grading Requirement Students in the Department of Biology: • MUST EARN a grade of “C” or better in BIOL 111 and 112. • TRANSFER STUDENTS must complete BIOL213 & BIOL214, CHEM227/237, CHEM228/238 & MATH147/148 within two semesters at TAMU. ONLY ONE “D” is allowed in courses in the major field of study as long as 2.0+ is maintained in both the field of study and overall.

End of Meeting Announcements THE REGISTRATION PROCESS: 1) UNTIL 12:30PM: Ask any questions concerning your registration and/or degree plan. 2) REPORT to Second Floor of the Student Computing Center (SCC) by 1:45PM to prepare for class registration. Registration begins promptly at 2:00PM, so BE EARLY. While you wait for registration to open, you can organize your class options and accept the Lab Safety Acknowledgement. 3) Please be sure to verify your class selections with an advisor once your registration is complete. Pay fees (if needed) and have a student ID card made (if not already done). You may also go to a bookstore and purchase or reserve textbooks. REMEMBER, WE ARE HERE TO HELP YOU.
